lives with Parkinson’s Disease (20111012)
A report released last Wednesday shows that Australia’s second commonest neurological disease, Parkinson’s Disease, has grown in numbers by 17% over the last 6 years.
It is commoner than prostate, bowel and many other cancers; the estimated burden of the disease for 2011-12 is valued at $7.6 billion and 20% of PD sufferers are of working age.
