Parkinson’s Australia is made up of a Board consisting a representative of each State and Territory Parkinson’s organisations. Our principal service is advocacy and to be the voice of people with Parkinson’s. As the peak nationwide agency, we represent the needs and interests of people with Parkinson’s to all levels of government seeking improved funding for services, research and awareness. Improving the understanding of Parkinson’s within the Australian community is recognised as one of priorities.
Parkinson's GP On-line Education Program
The new Parkinson's On-lIne GPs Education Program was launched on 17 March 2009 by Senator Jan McLucas, Parliamentary Secretary for Health & Ageing. The on-line educational and support resource program provides medical practitioners and health professionals in rural and remote Australia as well as metropolitan areas with information, resources and best practice guidelines on Parkinson's disease.
