There are many ways to connect to Parkinson’s Australia to show your support.

We are committed to direct engagement with individuals, businesses, organisations and companies that support our work to improve the lives of people affected by Parkinson’s across Australia.

Virtual roundtables

Parkinson’s Australia holds virtual roundtables once month on different days and times to encourage people to participate no matter what their schedule. Each month there will be a mid-morning timeslot and an afterhours timeslot. During these roundtables we can report back to you about our current projects and listen to your experiences, advice and feedback.

We invite people living with Parkinson’s, care partners, paid support carers, family, friends and anyone else affected by Parkinson’s to participate.

Raise awareness & fundraise

Another way we receive support is through fundraisers. These can vary from asking people donate instead of receiving gifts for a birthday, to other extremes, like our supporter Jeff, who walked the Camino Trail in Europe to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson’s Australia!

Whatever you decide to do, make sure you’re making an impact. We will support your fundraiser by promoting it on our social media channels, and assisting you in creating your online fundraising campaign. It’s important your supporters understand:

  • Why Parkinson’s is an important cause to you
  • Your event/activity you have chosen
  • What your personal goal is

You can create your own online fundraiser on Facebook, or by using our partner donation platform GiveNow to set up a ‘Crowd Raiser’ and share on social media. Please contact us for further help setting up a fundraiser.
