We commission leading research organisations to conduct investigations into the incidence and prevalence of Parkinson’s in Australia. This allows us to have sound statistics to base our advocacy and awareness campaigns on.
2025-26 Annual Report Highlights Amazing Achievements
Parkinson’s Australia’s Annual Report 2025-26 sets out what we delivered with and for the Parkinson’s community across national advocacy, connection and awareness.
Highlights include:
- The Your Voice, Your Needs national survey received 2,649 responses and now guides our priorities.
- We led or supported 8 national advocacy submissions, 5 of them on the NDIS.
- Our Ban Paraquat petition has more than 20,300 signatures.
- VYALEV is on the PBS for advanced Parkinson’s from 1 August 2025.
- 515 people joined 12 National Roundtables.
- We delivered the final report for the Young Onset Parkinson’s eXchange (YOPX) and supported the launch of our sister organisation, Essential Tremor Australia.
- Our work received 559 media mentions, 380,000 YouTube views and one million Facebook views.
