Trial Title Allied Health Service Access for People with Parkinson’s Disease Following Deep Brain Stimulation to the Subthalamic Nucleus.
Describe the trial aims The primary aim of this study is to investigate the extent to which people with Parkinson disease access allied health services following deep brain stimulation to the subthalamic nucleus. Through this study we hope to identify facilitators and barriers to accessing allied health services, and the preferred delivery model for people with Parkinson’s following deep brain stimulation to the subthalamic nucleus to enhance accessibility to allied health services.
Required eligibility to participate in the trial This survey is directed towards;
(1) adults (greater than 18 years old)
(2) been diagnosed with idiopathic Parkinson disease
(3) one year post deep brain stimulation to the subthalamic nucleus.
Restrictions/ineligibility You may not be eligible if you:
(1) Are receiving DBS to neural structures other than the STN
(2) Have limited English proficiency
