Monday 21 July 2025 at 7:30pm Professor Richard Bittar – Functional Neurosurgeon, will be hosting a Movement Disorders patient webinar addressing Deep Brain Stimulation and MR-Guided Focused Ultrasound treatments for Essential Tremor and Parkinson’s Disease.
Professor Bittar was the first neurosurgeon in Victoria to carry out robotic spinal surgery, deep brain stimulation for Tourette’s, MR-guided focussed ultrasound (MRgFUS) for tremor, and stereotactic radiosurgery for brain tumours. He is the only neurosurgeon in Australia who performs MR-guided focussed ultrasound for pain.
Professor Bittar and his colleagues of Neurologists and Neuroradiologists have been successfully treating patients using MRgFUS https://www.precisionhealth.com.au/heal…/ultrasound-brain/ since 2020.
Professor Bittar has presented as keynote speaker at Parkinson’s Australia and National Medical conferences on these topics and will field questions.
