On 21 February 2026, Kim completed the Duo 19.7km Rottnest Channel Swim – one of the most challenging open water events in the world – in honour of her father, who lives with Parkinson’s.

Kim chose to swim for Parkinson’s Australia because of the vital support the organisation provides to people living with the condition and their families – from practical programs and community connection through to education and advocacy. Every stroke across the channel was a tribute to her dad, and to the many families who understand the quiet courage that Parkinson’s demands every single day.

Kim’s swim is a powerful reminder that the love we carry for those closest to us can fuel incredible feats of endurance – and real, lasting change.
