We are thrilled to announce that the incredible Richelle Flanagan will be joining the lineup for the Parkinson’s Australia National Conference, thanks to our silver sponsor SYMBYX!
Richelle is a CORU state-registered dietitian with 20 years of experience. She has served as the president and CEO of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute (INDI), the professional body for dieticians in Ireland. Her journey took a significant turn when she was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s shortly after the birth of her second child. Despite this challenge, Richelle has become a beacon of hope and advocacy in the Parkinson’s community.
As a World Parkinson Congress Ambassador Alumni, a member of the Dublin Committee of Parkinson’s Ireland, and a EUPATI Fellow, Richelle has dedicated her life to improving the lives of those with Parkinson’s Disease (PD). She is particularly passionate about two critical areas: the importance of diet for PD and the unmet needs of women with PD.
Richelle is a co-founder of the Women’s Parkinson’s Project and the digital health start-up, My Moves Matter. My Moves Matter is a revolutionary digital self-care companion designed to empower people with Parkinson’s to live better lives through personalised tracking, feedback, care, and research.
Calling All Women with Parkinson’s in Australia – Your Participation is Needed!
Women face unique challenges when navigating PD, especially through various hormonal stages such as menstruation, pregnancy, perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. To address these challenges, we are running a global, first-of-its-kind study in collaboration with researchers from University College Cork, Ireland. This study aims to understand the impact of these different life stages on women with PD.
We need your participation to make this study a success! By joining us, you will contribute to groundbreaking research that could significantly improve the lives of women with Parkinson’s worldwide.

Let’s come together to support Richelle and make a difference in the lives of women with Parkinson’s. Your involvement is crucial, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact we can achieve together!
